2017 Summer Classes start this June!

Classes currently being offered are:

Mixed – Hand building / Wheel Throwing techniques*:   All levels of experience but must have some experience working with clay and to be able to work independently.  Learn the basics of working with clay.  Explore form and function through slab work, coil and pinch pots and forms, and surface treatments.  Explore wedging, centering, and throwing forms from mugs, to bowls, plates, etc.

Summer 2017 (8 Weeks)                                                      

Classes:

  • June 6, 2017:  Tuesday AM:  9 to 11:30AM, Adults and Children 16+.
  • June 8, 2017:  Thursday PM:  7 to 9:30PM, Adults and Children 16+.

 Cost:  $200.00,  Materials and firing additional.

 

*Beginners Only – Wheel Throwing techniques*:  Designed for those interested in clay but have never touched it before or if new to working on the wheel.   Learn the basics of working with clay.  Explore form and function through slab work, coil and pinch pots and forms, and surface treatments.  Explore wedging, centering, and throwing forms from mugs, to bowls, plates, etc.

Summer 2017 (8 Weeks)

Classes:

  • June 6, 2017:  Tuesday PM:  7 to 9:30PM, Adults and Children 16+.

Cost:  $200.00,  Materials and firing additional.

  

*Children’s Instruction*:   Individualized.  Learn the basics of working with clay.  Explore form and function through slab work, coil and pinch pots and forms, and surface treatments.  Explore wedging, centering, and throwing forms from mugs, to bowls, plates, etc.

Summer 2017 (8 Weeks)

Classes:

  • July 8, 2017:  Saturday AM:  9:30 8-12 to 11:30AM,  Children 8-12 Yrs

Cost:  $300.00,  Materials included.

 

*Ceramic Sculpture Workshop*:  This open-ended workshop teaches the underlying principles and development of hand-built sculptural works.  Through lectures, demonstrations and one-on-one instruction, students obtain a greater understanding of the tools, methods and practices required to improve their speed, technique and overall artistic expertise.

Cost:  $60.00 / Session (2 Hours), Open-ended.  Materials additional

Classes are taught by teachers and artists who are professionals in their respective area of expertise.

Classes are held at the maximum of 10 people with stress on technical instruction on the first level and individual aesthetic development on the second level. Each student is given individual instruction to allow them to develop skills at their own speed and abilities.

Classes offered depends on community interest. Courses are scheduled: Spring and Fall semesters are 6 or 12-weeks long, Winter and Summer sessions are 6 or 8-weeks long. Individual workshops for one or two days are scheduled on weekends throughout the year. In addition to scheduled classes, private instructions are available upon request.

In addition to the regularly scheduled class times, other times can be schedule for special programs, group and corporate events, and private instructions. Some classes may not be offered without a minimum number of registered participants. Private instruction for any class type is always available.
